Interactive web­based system for event management

Abstract

As the scale of production and complexity of manufacturing equipment increase, it becomes increasingly difficult for engineers to manage equipment and monitor their performances. The limitation of knowledge exchange between skilled engineers and entry-level technician poses further challenges to effective troubleshooting. An effective rule-based event management system is on high demand. Moreover, the increasing demand for web applications urges such event system to be migrated to the web for central data management, little individual installation and configuration and wide accesibility.
