Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: This project focuses on the modeling and simulation of an automotive vehicle. Vehicle powertrain and driveline components were modeled for simulation; controlling of vehicle speed via a PI speed controller. Modern vehicle Anti-Lock Braking System was also modeled; simulation was conducted on the Anti-lock braking system under different road conditions and how the Anti-Lock System aids the driver in a hard braking situation. The physics and mechanics of the vehicle engine are modeled using MATLAB's simulink software. Simulation with different parameters are also performed, their results were compared and concluded.
