Title: | A PV monitoring system (PVMS) for large-scale photovoltaic farm-II: system design | Authors: | Peng, Jingming. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Electric power::Auxiliaries, applications and electric industries | Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | Solar energy is one of the most popular clean energy sources that mankind can rely on in the future. To realize the full use of solar energy, nowadays both grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems are put into use. A grid-connected photovoltaic system is connected to the grid through an inverter by which it feeds power into AC loads when sunlight is available. An off-grid system, however, can directly power DC loads without the use of an inverter. In remote areas where a power grid is unavailable, off-grid solar system will be served as the sole source of electricity. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/50120 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
