Abstract: This report records and illustrates the possibility of combining the microwave induced thermal acoustic signal with the microwave scattered signal collected to better image and diagnose the condition of the cancer patient in defining the benign from malignant cancer. This project is a continuation of a previous study to investigate the possibility of using Ultra-wideband (UWB) signal for breast cancer detection. [47].The main objective of this project is to study the theoretical and practical feasibility and the performance of the combination to these two imaging method to better differentiate the normal tissues from the cancerous tissues.
