Abstract: The advancement of signal processing and data mining techniques has led to an intensive research on content based music retrieval, such as music transcription, music instrument detection, genre classification and furthermore things like rhythm analysis in musical content. Over the years, researchers have been trying using new and existing mathematical knowledge and programming techniques and even redesigning music information retrieval systems to help improve the detection of content based music information retrieval systems.
