Abstract: Tungsten Trioxide (WO3) nanorods and Vanadium Pentoxide hydrate (V205.nH2O) nanobelts were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. Stability of electrochromic materials suspension used for large area assemblies by cold-spray and drop-casting method was examined by adding suitable common surfactants. Results show that surfactants have the potential to enhance the electrochromic performance of materials deposited by the above methods by allowing a thinner and more homogeneous coating to form on substrates. Finally, factors affecting the morphology of V205.nH2O were also investigated. Results show that it is possible to obtain belt-shaped nanoparticles of V205.nH2O using NH4VO3 and 1.0M HNO3 as precursor under a hydrothermal synthesizing condition of 120oC for 8hrs.
