Title: | Large area assemblies of electrochromic nanomaterials | Authors: | Wang, Jing Yuan. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Functional materials DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Photonics and optoelectronics materials |
Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | Tungsten Trioxide (WO3) nanorods and Vanadium Pentoxide hydrate (V205.nH2O) nanobelts were synthesized by the hydrothermal method. Stability of electrochromic materials suspension used for large area assemblies by cold-spray and drop-casting method was examined by adding suitable common surfactants. Results show that surfactants have the potential to enhance the electrochromic performance of materials deposited by the above methods by allowing a thinner and more homogeneous coating to form on substrates. Finally, factors affecting the morphology of V205.nH2O were also investigated. Results show that it is possible to obtain belt-shaped nanoparticles of V205.nH2O using NH4VO3 and 1.0M HNO3 as precursor under a hydrothermal synthesizing condition of 120oC for 8hrs. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/50217 | Schools: | School of Materials Science and Engineering | Research Centres: | Advanced Materials Research Centre | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
