Abstract: This report is about designing and using a pair of instrumented shoes capable of measuring ground reaction forces (GRF) and foot orientation for gaitology studies purposes and other possible applications. The design of the instrumented shoe emphasize on the flexibility; not constraint by location, durability; able to withstand the repetitive shear stress and comfort of wearing it; making sure the user will not feel any awkwardness when wearing it to prevent user walking normally. The report focuses on Kendo footwork and kata for experiment and studies purposes.
