Abstract: A detailed study of a rectenna is conducted in this report. Comparisons of a few earlier designs of rectenna are presented. Furthermore, a various type of antennas and its important parameters are studied as well to determine the suitable option for the wide band frequency. A house-shaped wide band antenna is chosen to be studied in depth and simulated with the HFSS software due to its operating frequency range of 800 MHz to 2100 MHz.
