Design and fabrication of carbon fibre ribs and mechanical system on shell eco-marathon solar car

Abstract

This report focuses on the design and fabrication of carbon fibre monocoque ribs and mechanical system such as steering system on NTU Electric car. By modifying on the previous solar car (Nanyang Venture III), the new and improved car had been designed mainly to lighten its weight and improve on its steering design. The new car will participate in Shell Eco-Marathon 2012 in the Electric car category, which will be held in Malaysia, Sepang.
