Title: | Physical characterization of liposomes containing moieties from vessel-healing cells | Authors: | Soh, Fang Xian. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Biomaterials | Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | For the past 40 years, extensive research has been done on the medical applications of liposomes, i.e using liposome as drug carriers. Drug-encapsulated liposomes have shown to be a promising material for drug delivery due to their entrapment potential and therapeutic outcome. Several liposome drugs have already been available in the commercial pharmaceutical market. However, liposome-based vascular healing drugs have not yet been widely explored. Vascular healing is a complicated but important process. Incomplete or inadequate healing can lead to deficiency in regular blood flow which can be life threatening. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/50406 | Schools: | School of Materials Science and Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
