Abstract: The aim of the present work is to study the sol-gel process for PZT powder synthesis and thin film formation. The sinterability of the sol-gel synthesized powders during densification is also looked into. The present work, in general, has concentrated on three areas: firstly, modification of the sol-gel technique to reduce the processing temperature for fabricating of nano-sized ceramic powders.
