Abstract: The main objective of this research is to study the shear strengths of reinforced concrete and post-tensioned slab-column connections under gravity and cyclic lateral loading. This study covers interior, edge, and corner connections constructed using normalweight concrete. The effects of prestressing force, column rectangularity, unbalanced moment transfer, and cyclic loading are included. However, only slab-column connections without beams, drop panels, column capitals, openings, and any type of shear reinforcement are considered in this study.
