Title: Impact response of sandwich panels
Authors: Tan, Owen Wen-Wei.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering
Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: Sandwich Armour consisting of wood, rubber and steel layers was manufactured with constant total thickness. The armour was penetrated by projectiles to determine their perforation energy. Different combination of rubber and wood thickness was used to make armours of different ballistic properties. The perforation energy of different armours is then compared to each other to determine which combination has greatest perforation energy.
