Abstract: The report consists of a detailed study on the axial turbine of mini-jet engines; the basic operation of the turbine; the performance analysis; the flow phenomena and losses in the turbine; the failure mechanism of the turbine. A design software from CONCEPTS NREC is used to investigate the effects of various geometric modifications, i.e. blade angles, stagger, aspect ratio, on the performance of the turbine. The report aims to serve as a reference for future re-designing of mini-jet engines.
