Abstract: Recently environmental friendly ( Green Energy ) is facing new challenges for global warming and optimized high performance and high efficiency of energy conversion serve as the better solution in promising future. An electrical vehicle (EV), also known as an electric drive vehicle, uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. In modern technology, power electronics is very important as DC/AC inverter will convert a DC voltage source to AC voltage output with ability to control the frequency and amplitude of the output voltage, which makes it extensively used in EV industry. This project will focus on implementing Sinusoidal Pulse-Width Modulated (SPWM) Voltage Source Inverter built in such a way that output frequency can control accordingly. Introducing with the literature review helps an overview of inverter along with its application in EV. Following will be a design of control circuit on how to accomplish when changing frequency stable the output preference. The project simulation presented by PSIM software assist to analyse before converting into hardware implementation. Lastly, hardware development and system operation testing will be discussed and ended by the conclusion and future application of the inverter.
