C/ AC conversion technology is one of the most important research areas of Power Electronics and has been widely used in various industrial applications including light dimmer. Dimmers are commonly implemented by traditional phase-controlled voltage regulate technique which has drawbacks such as high total harmonic distortion (THD), low power factor (PF) and poor power transfer efficiency (YJ). In this report, a novel approach to improve power factor correction (PFC) called DC-modulation power factor correction AC/AC conversion is proposed. Using this technique, a high PF can be achieved.en_US
