Title: Ratio of specific heats (gamma) calculator for a mixture of different perfect gases
Authors: Lee, Siew Hui.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Aeronautical engineering::Jet propulsion
Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: Ratio of Specific Heat, is an important thermodynamic property commonly used in the description of gaseous products. In this final year project, firstly the student will do a study on the background theory of the ratio of specific heats. Next, the student will design a fortran program named GAMMA which is able to assist the user in the calculation of the ratio of specific heat by inputting the temperature and gas conditions. At the later stage of this project, two types of nozzle experiments will be carried out under different conditions. They will be executed under the designed GAMMA program, and also under the CEA program. The results generated will be gathered and evaluated in order to further the students understanding of the computer tool GAMMA and the ratio of specific heats.
