Title: | The art of giving : a study on volunteers' motivations in the Apex Club Singapore. | Authors: | Lim, Sok Teng. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Humanities | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | This study aims to find out the main motivations of volunteers in the Apex Club of Singapore (Bukit Timah) and the factors that keep them retained in the organization. This paper seeks to contribute to the dearth of academic works on volunteer motivations and to provide a Singaporean perspective to it. I would also want to examine the impact of the volunteer experience on the development of their sense of self and identities.
