Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: This study aims to explore the relationship of images and information on GBTB with that of the visitors' perceptions and actual experiences of GBTB. To do this, two main theoretical frameworks of the mediascape and ideoscape, and gaze will be used and explored on. This paper argues that the image-mediated nature of seeing and picturing, as well as the imaginative disposition of mediascape can essentially mediate individuals' experiences of places and produce tourist geographies.
