Information technology (IT) has become an indispensable tool which many organisations are turning to for survival. In recognition ofthe importance of IT to Singapore’s competitiveness, the Government has invested heavily to create a pro-IT environment. The Government has formulated IT2000, a comprehensive masterplan that will develop Singapore into an intelligent island.
