Keywords: | DRNTU::Social sciences | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | Australia’s property market remains a favourite with Singaporean investors due to its strong and stable economy, proximity, climate, culture and Australian universities that are a top choice for their children’s education. Financial rating companies such as Standard & Poor's and property consultants such as Preston Rowe Paterson are just a few of the many companies who churn out annual or monthly statistical reports on Australia's property market for general investors. However, limited number of studies have been done on investment in the Australian residential property market from a Singaporean’s perspective. Hence, this report aims to serve as a guide for foreign investors, mainly Singaporeans, while analysing the dynamics of the Australian residential property market on economic grounds. This study reveals that although there are other profitable investment avenues, Singaporean investors still choose to invest in Australian property due to motivational factors that will be discussed further. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/51856 | Schools: | School of Humanities and Social Sciences | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
