Keywords: | DRNTU::Business | Issue Date: | 1996 | Abstract: | In this study, ten determinents of intellectual capital were conceptualized after a comprehensive literature review. A research was conducted whereby questionnaires were administered to a sample of sixty companies from the selected industries. The results of the factor analysis revealed that there were four underlying dimensions to the intellectual capital determinants in the high technology domain and five in the low one. The findings were analyzed and interpreted so that the four factors in the high technology domain were identified as internal origin of idea generation, management style, source of idea generation and organizational focus on employees’ capability. The factors in the low technology domain were identified as means of generating organizational intellectual capital, modes of knowledge improvement, management style, and organizational emphasis on intellectual capital. The implication of our study as well as future directions are also discussed. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/51910 | Schools: | Nanyang Business School | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
