Title: | The bewitching yakshi | Authors: | Ajin Joseph Vattamakkal Antony | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Animation::3D | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | The installation is a traditional painting made with digital tools in such a way that it will interact with the people in front of it. The Bewitching Yakshi is my attempt to tell a story in a more intuitive and interactive way. Unless somebody is telling us the story or if we are reading it from a book or watching it in movies, the way we understand a story is by connecting bits and pieces of information’s gathered together from our observations at different point of time. The same principal is used in creating my project. The project made use of good qualities of both interactivity as well as animation. When a person interacts with the character in the installation, he/she will slowly start to understand what happened to Yakshi and what is she trying to tell. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/52373 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
