Abstract: In conducting an examination of the physicality of body scars and their origin stories as metaphors for broken beauty, the artist aims to seek to define the aesthetics of brokenness. The main focus of the project is on the role of drawing in contemporary art practice. The art works resulting explore one’s emotions and feelings towards scars while at the same time reinvent various ways and techniques of illustration and drawing.
