Abstract: Cyberbullying has received significant attention from both the media and researchers since the emergence of many high profile incidents. However, the current literature offers many opposing insights to the issue. As such, the goal of the present paper is to provide a thorough analysis of the current research in cyberbullying. Its main focus is on (a) prevalence rates, its related disturbances and roles associated with cyberbullying, (b) challenges of defining cyberbullying and its methodological limitation and finally (c) theories and interventions to prevent the occurrence of cyberbullying.
