Abstract: This radio documentary introduces the trouble spots in the Southeast Asian region, the steps taken to mitigate the effects of piracy and ensure the safety of mariners and the problems faced in doing so. Most importantly, it provides the reasons for the persistence of piracy, which is a problem that have prevailed for centuries.
