Abstract: In the developing countries where places are not connected to the power grid, renewable energy resources such as solar energy are viewed as the perfect solution to providing power to the area. The solar power system designed would allow the power up of AC appliances to improve their standard of living. For the project, the standalone solar power system and solar tracking system will be explored and built. The solar power system will convert solar energy to power to be stored in battery to supply a constant voltage and current to operate the appliances. Hence the aim of the project is to design and implement the solar charge controller and solar tracker required in the solar power system to allow the charging of the battery and the tracking of the sun.
