Abstract: In this report, green and facile approach was used to produce graphene nanosheets dispersion. Nanotechnology devices have become more popular and researchers had published journal using a method called exfoliation, to produce graphene from graphite. The lag in the research of dispersion graphene in solution phase created this report of experiment. Using solution phase create a monolayer of graphene which can be integrated in future nanotechnology application especially in the field of electronics application suggested by many researchers. Nine different solvent will tested to see which type of solvent suspended with graphene best by casting the solution on a piece of silicon wafer. Using the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to verify how well each solution dispersed on the substrate. Three methods of experiment will be conducted to further improve the dispersion. First was the different amount of concentration and second, the speed of the spin coating and lastly using the hotplate dispersion method. The finally experiment was to increase the number of coating on the substrate from the previous spin coating method as it increased the number of flakes for better performance. From the experiment results, Toluene solution dispersed the best under the SEM. Comparing the results with both Polarity Index and Log P tables, the resulted showed Toluene indeed created a better dispersion. The size of the flake can be controlled as the concentration increases and the speed of the spin coater also can be adjusted to disperse more graphene flakes on the substrate edge.
