Among the various emerging technologies, the wave touch technology using Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) measurements has the advantages of low-cost and high scalability. A sequence of sensors are attached at the edge of the touch substance to detect the generated vibration signals, and afterwards using Levenberg-Marquardt for non-linear optimization to calculate the position of tapping point. However the current method is disadvantaged in terms of accuracy and efficiency. This project tried to find a sensor substitution for shorter transition, higher stability and optimum sensitivity. Two kinds of sensors, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) sensor and micro vibration sensor have been tested against the current used sensor, and each of their features have been analyzed based on the test results. The remaining half of this project is to design a high-definition interactive game for the big touch screen interface. The user can play the game with instrument of toy gun. The game has been developed using a 2D game engine, integrated with a physical engine to provide force stimulation. This report will include details of interface design, process flowchart, class diagram and each of their explanations. It will further discuss on the major classes and their roles and functions in the game. Some extra functions like menu selection have also been included to make the game more user-friendly.
