Title: | Android open source embedded system development using beagleboard | Authors: | Lim, Zhiwei. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | The BeagleBoard-xM is an open sourced, single computer board. Being open-sourced allows a number of OS to be ported onto the board. For the project, the Jelly Bean version of Android will be ported onto the board. Additional USB devices will be used in an attempt to enable external wireless communication on the Android platform for the BeagleBoard-xM. Finally, an application will be developed to run on BeagleBoard-xM as well as on a native Android device, for comparison reasons, as well as to ensure that the BeagleBoard-xM is able to run applications just like a native Android device.
