Title: Technique to study the biomechanical properties of the human calcaneal heel pad
Authors: Tong, Jasper Weng Kong.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Bio-mechatronics
Issue Date: 2002
Abstract: The biomechanical properties of the human heel pad can reveal their health condition. For example, diabetic patients may suffer from observable change in heel pad biomechanical properties and subsequently result in foot ulceration, and patients with plantar heel pain may present with stiffer heel pad. This study reports the preliminary development of a test rig.
