Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: Fiber grating has lots of applications related with our daily life, for example the Bragg reflectors for filtering light with certain wavelength. This project is to design grating structures which can couple light with desired properties. In order to fulfill the task, computer simulation tools are involved to help find out the specific parameters of the grating structure. This report mainly described how the project was carried out, starting with theoretical learning and then moving on the hands on design and simulations. The results are promising despite the limitations when doing simulation work.
