Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: In today’s rapidly growing, technologically advanced world, a need for better energy solutions are being called for as we grow more dependent on energy. One such solution is piezoelectricity, which is the generation of electrical energy by means of a mechanical load, along with its wide and varied applications opened a whole new possibility in modern engineering. Piezoelectric transformers provide one such possibility. Various parameters such as efficiency and transform ratio of a piezoelectric transformer are computed against different factors to find the optimal operating range. The method of boundary elements is used in this project to carry out the computation. Usage of FORTRAN77 compiler is also used to carry out the computation.
