Title: High speed random number generation
Authors: Hong, Johnny MingZhong.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering
Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: This report will discuss a new concept for generating random bits, the concepts was generated from past random number generator (RNG) experiments conducted, by using the advantages and trying to resolve the disadvantages in those RNG. In order to analysis the new concept, experiment was set up and the random bits collected were tested with the NIST randomness tests. The result generated by the NIST randomness is used for analyzing the randomness of the random bits and the possible reasons for the outcome was suggested. To further study and improve the randomness of the random bits generated by the new concept, extractors are introduced and Recommendations are provided to improve the experiment for future work.
