The agency's key areas of expertise are public relations, financial communications, crisis management, marketing strategy and event management. This project reviews the key human resource requirements of JWA, and proposes a human capital strategy that will position the company for the future. The approach adopted was to bring together findings, relevant research and best practices in human resources management and development in a simple and practicable strategy, implementable at little cost, for JWA's consideration. The recruitment & selection strategy proposed includes a Job Description, Requirement Matrix, work sample test, structured interview and presentation, as well as a scoring matrix, useful in shortlisting the best candidate for the positions available. The training & development strategy proposed is a three-step one comprising on-boarding, employee development and on-the-job training that will be a simple but powerful means to signal JWA's commitment to develop its employees and in return, harness the best potential out of them. Finally, recommendations are provided for JWA's consideration to address some of the cultural issues related to motivation, engagement and retention of Czech employees, given their focus on the family, their preference for greater certainty over ambiguity, and their comfort with a more hierarchical structure at the workplace.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/53502||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
