Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: Batch production is a common practice in small and medium enterprises as it is able to aid them in controlling the quantity of goods manufactured such that the plant would be performing and utilized at the highest possible efficiency. Some common examples of batching would be the baking of bread commonly seen in Breadtalk outlets. However, for a production line to be making money, a healthy level of efficiency is required. This can be done through the analysis of the queue time for batching systems.
