Abstract: In the region of micro milling, the condition of milling tool will affect the surface finishing and productivity significantly. In order to monitor the tool condition, the cutting force can be used as one of the key parameters. A force monitoring system is helpful in assisting engineers to get a better acknowledgement of the tool condition. Consequently the monitoring system can provide engineers more controllability on the surface finishing and improve the productivity of the micro milling machining.
