Abstract: In the competitive world around, there is a growing need for a reliable and efficient tracking system to be available in a lesser cost. Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) can locate and track the assets or humans using the wireless low power area networks. The idea is a hot area in the field of asset management. The three projects discussed in this dissertation are dealing with the application of RTLS technology to different areas. The three projects are namely, Home Detention System, Two Way Ranging RTLS Application development and Streetlight Monitoring System.
