Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: Nowadays researchers are concerned with regulating the output of DC-DC converters with advanced method. In recent years, most of the researches have been directed towards digital control gives more flexibility in implementing advance methods to control the power converters. This report presents the design of digital controls for the DC-DC boost converter. Both current mode control and voltage mode control are addressed. This report describes microcontroller-based implementation of a boost converter system. Both current mode and voltage mode digital controllers are used to regulate the output voltage of the converter. The controls are implemented on a dsPIC30F6010 microcontroller. Some experimental results are presented to show the features of the controllers under different operating conditions.
