Abstract: This report describes a Nanyang Technological University, Electrical Electronics Engineering Department, final year project of academic year 2012/2013 on asynchronous computing system to countermeasure power analysis attacks. As digital data are vulnerable to security threats, it is a practical topic as there are high demands in the industries for safe keeping of digital data. The report covers two different methods used (DES and AES). C-Programming using Visual Studio and VHDL using Xilinx will be used for the project. This project will cover the introduction, the flow of each method and in detailed for AES encryption and decryption of digital information that comes with diagrams and codes.
