dc.description.abstractFilters play an important role in many RF applications. RF filters are facing ever challenging and stringent requirements from applications such as wireless communications, which demands higher performance such as smaller size, lighter weight, and lower cost. Microstrip Filters for RF Applications provides a link to applications of computer simulations tools, advanced materials and technologies. Also, Microstrip Filters offers a unique and a complete treatment of RF filters based on the microstrip structure. This project is concentrated on the study and understanding of the knowledge of dual passband filter using step impedance resonator with parallel coupled microstrip line. As I need to use result to prove the performance of my design filter, simulation software Advanced Design System had been chosen. Step impedance resonator and parallel coupled microstrip line characterises and theory were studied and analysed in this project. Performances were presented by simulation software Advanced Design System. Proposed structure of dual passband filter were analysed and the performance were presented for comparison. And, all proposed filters were successfully simulated using software Advanced Design System.en_US
