Abstract: Antennas operating in the UHF band are desirable in many commercial and military communication systems. This project mainly focuses on the design and development of a new antenna structure using long slot to realize a wide-band UHF antenna. This report presents the details of the projects, including the design considerations, the design processes by simulation, and the analysis on optimization of results, as well as the conclusion. In this project, a Microstrip-Fed cavity-backed long slot antenna is designed and simulated using simulation software, High Frequency Simulator Software (HFSS). The objective of wide-band UHF is achieved.
