Abstract: With rising energy costs and a greater need for environmental stewardship, efficient management of electricity consumption within the households has become an important aspect. A Home Energy Management System (HEMS) will empower home owners with timely electricity usage data and equip them with wireless capabilities to control their electrical appliances to reduce wastage. This report details the development of a HEMS prototype and the adoption of iDigi Device Cloud platform to manage the Smart Energy devices.
