Title: | Celebrity morph game development | Authors: | Singh, Anjalika. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | This report describes the process of development of a celebrity morph game titled ‘The Celebrity Mash-Up’. The game utilizes Matlab to morph faces of celebrities and then presents these morphed images to users with options identifying the component faces of the morph. This report first introduces the concept of image morphing and analyses the different techniques to manipulate two-dimensional human face images, highlighting the relative differences between them. These techniques show how a realistic composite face, based on component faces can be generated with precise control. The factors affecting the quality of the generated morph are also analysed along with how they can be tweaked to generate a better final product. Thereafter, the report describes the approach to generating the morph algorithm and the user interface, chronicling the problems encountered and their resolution. In generation of the morphing algorithm, there are three major processes involved: feature specification, followed by warp generation and cross-dissolution. Through a Graphical User Interface, the game handles user interaction and processes the options for the answers. In conclusion, this report addresses future improvements to the morph generation process. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/54411 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
