|Title:||Intelligent lighting control system||Authors:||Jiang, Shangguang||Keywords:||DRNTU::Engineering||Issue Date:||2013||Abstract:||With the development of economic and the advancement of technology, the requirements of lighting are getting higher and higher and the traditional manual lighting control system is suffering strong impact of the times (the demand of a more intelligent lighting system is getting stronger). Then, the intelligent lighting technology appears and quickly moves forward (evolves). Generally speaking, the manually control system refers to the system which build by the operation of single switch or a group of switches and dimming device, and in most of times, the switch is controlled by button switching or rotating. In case of small-scale, traditional control system does have the advantages of low cost. However, with the expansion of the scale of the lighting system, traditional control system will lose its cost-effectiveness. In addition, when there is no need for lighting, whether the lights should be turned off or not is completely determined by human factors. Therefore there must be a waste of electricity and increase of energy consumption. The greater range of illumination, the more serious of the problem. Unlike intelligent lighting control system, even though traditional control system is simple, effective and intuitive, it relies on the personal ability of the controller too much. The control is relatively fragmented and unable to work effectively, and the degree of automation is too low. For these reasons, intelligent automation of lighting has an extremely important significance. The intelligent lighting control system is a monitoring and automatic controlling system. It can monitor the environment in the corridor with corresponding sensors, such as light intensity and sound. The system is based on Arduino technology, using arduino board as the control center. According to the conditions and parameters, the system will control the power of the lights and provide an optimal energy strategy. The whole project can divide into three parts: sensors, controllers and switches.
