Title: | Wireless module for human-computer touch interface & time synchronization algorithm | Authors: | Wang, Xiyan. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Wireless communication systems | Issue Date: | 2013 | Abstract: | Nowadays, with the growing demand of more advanced touch interfaces, a lot of research effort has been involved in developing new technologies to enhance the performance as well as the scale of the touch interfaces. Among the new technologies, STATINA is a fast-developing touch interface engine by using acoustic waves to estimate the source location. Ideally, it can transform an arbitrary large flat plain into a touch interface by attaching acoustic sensors on edges of the plain. However, due to heavy wirings, the mobility and flexibility are greatly limited. To enhance the mobility and flexibility, a wireless communication framework was proposed by previous FYP student. On top of this, the author’s project mainly focuses on finding alternative wireless framework implementation method and developing time synchronization algorithm. Taking advantages of Jennic JN5148 Evaluation Kit and the basic IEEE 802.15.4 standard, a new wireless frame implementation method has been developed and a new algorithm has been proposed to solve the fatal time synchronization problem. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/54454 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
