Development framework of mobile web apps and app plan tracker

Abstract

This report was written as a summary of my Final Year Project. Its aim is to provide the reader with a understanding of my working experience during Final Year Project at School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. In the project, a mobile web application has been developer with intuitive User Interface. The application use the latest HTML5 framework to create application with a experience close to native application on iOS.

The inspiration for the project is from the author’s experience in developing social application. The development and deployment process has taken much effort, and time, which sometimes hinder the launch of a native application on App Store. After researching about current trend of mobile web application, the author decided to build a framework that help developer to build a application in short time with solid experience and database.

Mobile phone has become a personal data storage that follow us in every daily activity. Also, with the current situation of economic hardship, financial management has become a important task for us. Unfortunately, most of available application on App Store has failed to mange saving, or loan plan in terms of personal usage. The use of database will emphasized with this type of application. The project implementation focus on the technology of HTML5, jQuery Mobile, and Phone Gap. The advantage of these framework will be demonstrated as well as its constraints.

A friendly user interface is also integrated using jQuery Mobile. A good UI allow user to work with JSON database.
