Title: Recognition of human hand gestures and its application to human-robot interaction
Authors: Yin, Xiaoming.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Robots
Issue Date: 2002
Abstract: Service roots operate in dynamic and unstructured environments and need to interact with people who are not necessarily skilled in handling robots. Friendly and cooperative interface is thus critical for the development of service robots. Migrating the natural means that humans employ to communicate with each other, such as speech and gestures, into Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has been a long-term attempt.
