In recent years, there have been many events such as Love Parade, ZoukOut, etc. which are prone to crowd disasters. These disasters occur due to the existence of high densities in a limited area of space. A wearable electronic device that directs people and controls the density of the crowd could possibly help reduce disasters. This report attempts to evaluate the design and effectiveness of such a device through modeling and simulation. However, to produce these devices, to test the effectiveness and efficiency, would be far too expensive to carry out realistically. Hence, we will be using agent based simulation to create the device model, for application in areas like parade grounds or mass rapid transit (MRT) stations. These crowd simulations are important for various applications like defense, mass transportation, social studies, etc. Also, using agent based simulation, this report will be applying different algorithms to the wearable device to test the design of this concept and evaluate the effectiveness of the wearable device. In addition, the response of the human agent model to the wearable device will also be examined in this report. For future enhancement to the design of a wearable device, a development of an application on mobile phones can be made instead of designing it as a wearable device. Additional research needs to be done to see if such a device is feasible. If this is feasible, effort is needed to create the actual wearable device or the mobile application.en_US
