Title: Study of natural and forced convection on an inclined double-skin roof
Authors: Lee, Chun Kit.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Energy conservation
Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: The objective of this report serves as an in-depth and comprehensive study on the effects of natural and forced convections on a double-skin roof, as a continuation of previous studies. There are two segments to this project: the experiment and the simulation. The experiment segment involves collection of a large set of results from different operating parameters. After these experimental results are gathered and analyzed, the optimal sets of experimental results are further verified through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation via Workbench ANSYS – Fluent. The verification by CFD simulation is to eliminate any experimental errors and further scrutinizes the results to determine if the simulated results are in line with the experimental ones.
